今後の活動を考えるために

インドへ行って視察してきます

　インド人母子の会の活動は、国内に関わる経費を最小限にして、集めた募金をすべてインドに送るようにしてきました。そのため、活動資金も十分ではなく、最近はあまり積極的な活動が出来ていないのが現実です。

　しかし、幸いにIIMCは、主にヨーロッパの国々の支援を受け、順調に活動を続けることが出来ています。インド・コルカタでも、かなりその活動が認められるようになってきています。

　インド人母子の会として、現在のインドIIMCの活動をさまざまな視点から見つめ、今後どのような活動ができるかのを考えたいと思っています。

　私の仕事の都合上、3月末頃に時間が取れそうです。視察した結果はまたお知らせいたします。

また笑って、ジョイシー！

ジョイシーは都会から離れた貧しい家庭に生まれました。とても不幸なことに、彼女が生まれて以来、家庭内には今にも窒息しそうな争いが絶え間なくありました。それは、彼女が女性であったのと、母親がとても貧しい家庭の出身であるため、文盲であったことが関係していました。

家族内での暴力などが日常となっていたため、ついにジョイシーの母親は、ジョイシーと線路に飛び込んで自殺を図りました。幸いなことに周りには大勢の人々がいて、彼女たちを線路の外に押し出してくれました。しかし、不幸なことにジョイシーは、完全に逃れることができずに、線路に捕まり、彼女の片足を車輪が切断してしまいました。



ジョイシーは、IIMCヘルスセンターに連れてこられ、IIMCプライマリヘルスケアのチームができる限りの治療を行いました。

ジョイシーは初期のショックから立ち直り、治療にもよく反応しました。そして、一週間後より適切な処置のために、IIMCヘルスワーカーの手で大学病院へ運ばれました。ジョイシーを支えるためには、多額の費用の他にも、たくさんのケアと愛が必要でした。IIMCは何とかジョイシーの命を救わなければなりません。

そのような時に、イタリアのパロラとステファノというカップルがジョイシーの医療費用を支援し、遠距離状態で養子縁組をしてくれることになりました。


3ヶ月後、ジョイシーはIIMCヘルス・センターに戻ってきて、精神的なショックから立ち直りつつありました。

彼女の傷は良くなり、通常の生活に戻りつつあります。ジョイシーがあそび、笑顔を見せる日がすぐに来ることを願って！

ウシャパラ 学校の建設

IIMCではコルカタ（カルカッタ）から南西30Kmほどに位置するウシャパラ村にひとつの学校を建設中です。

• 5年ほど前から、この小さな村でタイル屋根の小学校を運営しています。
• 今回の学校は、コンクリート製の屋根で規模も大きなものとなります。そのため、より多くの生徒が学ぶことができます。学校そのものがアップグレードすることになるのです。
• この場所で、グラミン銀行のようなマイクロクレジット・プログラムも始めることができます。
• ここでの教育とマイクロクレジット・プログラムによって、この地区全体の貧困と文盲を改善していくことができます。

• IIMC is constructing one high school for Ushapara people, one village - 30km south east of Kolkata (Calcuatta).
• We are running one primary school in this village for last 5 years in a small tiles house.
• The school building will be concrete roof and bigger, so more students will get chance and the school will be upgraded to a high school.
• There will be room enough to start the Micro-credit program - Mothers Grameen bank.
• This education and mothers bank will remove illiteracy and poverty of the whole area.

CONGRATURATION and THANK YOU very much for sponsoring a child for the education.

Institute for Indian Mother and Child is a non governmental voluntary organization. Our mission is to help people in India (specially Calcutta village people). We are running a big outdoor clinic (600 poor patients' attendants) and three small outdoor (250 poor patients attendant) and one indoor clinic (20 patients' beds) in 24 Parganas(s), West Bengal, India. There are 10 doctors and 5 nurses, many many health volunteers are taking care of those medical unit.

Beside this we are sponsoring poor children for their education (at present 48% people are illiterate in India). Now we have 1950 sponsored children in total by the area where there is no school near by. There are 3000 students are 106 teachers are taking care of those students.

We have also a Micro Credit & Micro Saving bank for poor women who can save their money and take money as a loan to run a small business from there. We have sewing bag & knitting project for distressing women. All together it is really a good project. 300 volunteers are working in this project.

安全な飲料水プロジェクト

IIMCは貧しい人たちに安全な飲料水を提供したいと考えています。

• 西ベンガル州の僻地にある10の村で、10の深井戸を掘り進めていきます。
• 写真は、ドリルをして井戸を掘っているところです。
• 安全な飲料水は健康の基礎です。農村部における80%の病気は、不衛生な水殻生じているものです。

洪水救済プログラム - 2006年10月

2006年10月に激しいモンスーンの雨、洪水、サイクロンが西ベンガル州の異なる地域を襲いました。特に24パルガナス南地区に被害がありました。この地区は私たちのプロジェクトがある地域です。

IIMCは、急遽、医療＆救済チームを現地に送り、被害を受けている人々を助けました。

ここのその様子を報告します。

パタル・プラティマ(Pathar Pratima)学校プロジェクト

ガンジス・デルタ地帯の田舎の村に新しい学校の建設を進めています。

• IIMCはベンガル湾のデルタに位置する田舎の村に女の子のための幼稚園、小学校、中高校を建設する決心をしました。
• このレポートの写真には、貧しい村人によって建てられた学校を見ることができます。
• IIMCは学校建設用の土地を贈呈されました。ここに、コンクリート製の学校を建設してきます。
• 教育は知識をもたらします。そして、ついにはすべての女の子たちが読み、書くことができるようになります。このことは、彼女たちの将来を変え、自立と自尊をもたらすことでしょう。

IIMC wants to be ensure that poor people will safe drinking water

• We shall install 10 deep tube well for 10 different villages in the far rural areas of West Bengal.

In October, there were heavy monsoon rain and water inundation and cyclone in different part of West Bengal, specially our Project area of 24 Parganas South.

IIMC – Medical and Relief team immediately rush to the affected areas and helped the suffering people.

Here is a small pictures report of our relief work.

Pathar Pratima School Project

New School Construction in the Rural Area at the Delta of Ganges River

• IIMC has decided to construct one pre-primary, primary & high school for the girls of the rural area at the delta of bay of Bengal.
• In the pictures of brief report we can see the location and existing school constructed by the poor villages.
• IIMC has received a piece of land and we have taken all steps to construct one concrete school building.
• Education will bring knowledge and so one day every girl child will be able to read and write, which will change their future and will make them self sufficient and self confident.

障害を持つ人たちと女性のための協力センターの建設報告

Handicapped & Woman Co-operation Centre

われわれのセンターには毎日，障害を持つ人々や困窮した女性が，助けや支援を求めてきます。

われわれには，リハビリや訓練を目的とした施設が全くありませんでした。この施設は，障害を持つ子供，貧しい母親に対して，職業訓練やリハビリを行なうことを目的として建設が進められています。

ヘルス・センター建設の報告

　16年間，タイルとブリキの屋根の下だけでなく，木の下で暮らすような貧しい人々に対しても活動を行なってきました。毎日700名以上の患者が，僻地の農村から治療を求めてやってきます。他に選択肢がないのです。
　幸いにも，Florindon基金の助けを得ることができ，コンクリート製の建物を建設することができるようになりました。
　この施設では，非常に貧しい母親，子供，そして医療支援が必要で無視されている人々が利用することができます。
